livejournal and its issues
Jan. 10th, 2012 10:24 amI know I mentioned that LJ's new comment page is ugly as hell, but I hadn't realised exactly how bad it was until I started reading this three page discussion of whether CFUD should move.
I've been dawdling over this decision for the past few days. It isn't really an issue for my LJ because comments have been dwindling here for the past year or two, which is fine, and it makes reading not too bad. I love this LJ, I've been here for something like eight years?? But people are getting nauseated reading in this format, and I really cannot countenance that. And on a personal level, reading everything in Arial is annoying.
So despite my assurances of several months ago, when I started on Tumblr, I think I am actually moving. I've made a new DW account (because I've never used the windowsilver account really) and I'm going to start importing this journal and deskclutter over soon.
I'll add friends from the windowsilver account soon too, so if you see a jiggit adding you to their reading circle, that's me.
I'll mirror everything here too, and I'm not going to stop checking LJ because I have a bunch of illegal downloads comms here that I keep up with. But one of the main reasons I've kept up with LJ is because everyone was here, and now with this change so many people are moving that it isn't feasible.
So. Yes. Ugh, this is hard. We could have had it all, you shitty website. No one was moving as long as you were functional.
