Treacle Mine Road

I am striving very very hard to not do that thing where I badger all my friends to watch the thing I am enjoying but YOU GUYS GLTAS IS SO GOOD.

I already knew Giancarlo Volpe (previously seen working on Avatar: the Last Airbender) was on the creative team but THING I DID NOT KNOW UNTIL THIS WEEK: Bruce Timm (of Batman: the Animated Series and Superman: the Animated Series and Justice League and Justice League Unlimited and Batman Beyond) is executive producer!!

(WHICH MAY EXPLAIN A LOT OF THINGS ABOUT EVERYONE'S SHOULDERS. Almost as distinctive as CLAMP.)

I spent all of yesterday marathoning the show, and I regret nothiiiiiiiing. Aya is great and Razer is great and Saint Walker is great. Everyone is fantastic!

They aren't really the same and they have different appeal and demographics, but I was way into GLTAS from the first episode in a way that Young Justice never could quite win me over. (I feel with YJ that I wanted to like it more than I actually did, even though I did like it a lot, and in the end when it lost a lot of elements that I liked, was why I could walk away from it so easily and stay away. Which is a huge pity because I love Jaime Reyes and I am sad that there isn't an animated canon of him anywhere that I adore as much as his original comics run.) But ahhhhhh, AI subplot running through the show, bringing in all the Lantern Corps spectrum in a way that has me invested in actually caring about the emotional spectrum, ladies who have choices and make choices and are given the right to make those choices by their show = GLTAS IS SO GOOD.

I love it so much.
