rambling and stuff
Mar. 8th, 2012 03:08 pmI have been getting into the habit of sleeping at four or five, which is a bad habit and I need to kick it.
(Also, dang, I meant to go to my parents' church once and then cry off forever, but somehow I have been finagled into accompanying them again this Sunday and my mum tried to have me promise all the Sundays until April. HAHA no. I'll be okay, though.)
Uhhhh, I chopped off the majority of my hair last Friday! I like it, and because it makes me look younger, I have been wearing loads of dangly earrings to make myself look a little older. It's been awesome.
Also, I came across stuff about the reboot of Green Arrow, which I am in two minds about. On the one hand, Ollie Queen as he was I did not like. Comics Bruce Wayne is worse because lol Bruce is the worst, but Ollie is a serial cheater and I just can't, especially because editorial mandate has Dinah dating him on and off as he cheats because they are nominally OTP. (Comics Rogue/Gambit suffers from a similar problem, except they are both awful at each other, so it's a little more equal.) So rebooting Ollie may not be a bad thing!
On the other hand, as he is now college age, this means all his sidekicks are no longer around. Sin Lance is no longer around, probably (UGHHHH ALL THE ASIAN BABIES ARE GONE. LIAN HARPER. SIN LANCE. WHERE IS CASS CAIN). Roy might be, I suppose, given editorial's obsession with Silver Age status quo, but Lian DEFINITELY isn't. Mia and Connor are probably not around either. AND THIS MAKES ME SAD. :(
I am kind of hoping Black Canary stays more with BoP than Green Arrow supporting cast. It depends on what a rebooted Ollie is like, I guess, because I do actually ship their DCAU counterparts and that holds a lot of weight with me, but I don't want Ollie to be a douche at her and I don't want Didio to anchor her at his side if he is going to be a douche at her. Ughhhh.
Goodbye, I am going to stare at Clint/Bobbi for a while to soothe my archer/bird pain. (BOBBI, WHERE IS YOUR SHOW, GIVE IT TO ME.)
(lol like Clint/Bobbi is perfect. gdit, Marvel, either you kill people off properly or you confine resurrection tropes to the X-Men.)
