Honour's Paradox
Mar. 1st, 2012 08:05 pmIn the end, I slept much longer than expected to sleep on the plane, and therefore I forewent re-reading To Ride a Rathorn and Bound in Blood in favour of just reading Honour's Paradox.
The reason I put off reading it for so long, I remember now, is because I read the stories in Blood and Ivory: A Tapestry and they looked like Jame and Tori were going to be at severe odds in the future and Jame in near-total disgrace and I was like DDDDD: do not want.
I am thinking that the short story in question probably isn't entirely canon any more, especially because Rue is no where in sight and I cannot believe that Rue wouldn't be around if Jame went to Min-drear because that would mean Rue is dead and I REFUSE. And just, in general, the tone and general plot of that story isn't in line with the direction the series has taken any more. Recent material has been dealing with the same or similar subject matter without that particular turn.
