in light of LJ shenanigans
Nov. 5th, 2012 11:44 amReminder that dreamwidth.org existsssss, come make my dream of moving completely to DW more real than it currently is.
I skipped my 500 words yesterday, tried to sleep early (failed), was woken up at half six because of rain coming through my open window. Simultaneously discovered I had 1) kicked my bolster off the bed somehow when it had lain on my other side when I went to sleep and 2) had stomachache because period.
Anyway! Monsoon season is here! Last week everyone was complaining because of the heat and they were like 'where is the monsoon???' This includes my mum. From her lips to God's ears, jfc, it started raining heavily the day after. And this past weekend was the start of the Singapore Writer's Festival, so I had to scurry between locations in the rain. :((( The festival venues are spread out between the National Museum of Singapore, the Peranakan Museum, some rooms in Singapore Management University, and a bunch of other places. It's nice when it's not raining.
Also, for those of you who are interested in such things, there are two anthologies of Singaporean specfic this year and I attended the launches for both yesterday in the ilovebooks tent (and the acoustics were horrible due to the rain) (also it was a little bit of a mess, organisationally speaking) (I am being kind about it). BUT ANYWAY. The Ayam Curtain and Fish Eats Lion, published by Math Paper Press.
